Why we built FAFJ
We built FAFJ because we were fed up with tracking our own job searches by hand. Every application meant copying the company, the role and the link into a spreadsheet, then keeping the status column up to date ourselves.
And the spreadsheet still could not answer the questions that mattered. Did I already apply here? What did that job description actually say, now that the posting is gone? Who was the recruiter, and who is on the interview team?
In a market this competitive, you apply to a lot of jobs, and every one makes the problem bigger: more rows, more emails to dig through, more chances to miss a reply or apply to the same role twice.
If people are helping you, like a partner, a friend or a career coach, they are in the dark too. They cannot see what you have already applied to, so the jobs they send you may be ones you have already tried.
