Why the spreadsheet falls behind
Every row is copy and paste: company, title, pay, link. The job description goes somewhere, maybe. The status column needs updating every time a recruiter writes back, which means digging through your inbox, and the posting you linked to comes down the week they call. Once the search gets busy, the sheet is the first thing to slip, right when you need it most.

On Pro, open Applications, choose Export, then Google Sheets, and say yes to keeping it up to date. FAFJ writes your applications to an "FAFJ applications" tab in a sheet in your Google Drive, and updates it when they change, every 30 minutes. Your own tabs are never read or changed, so the charts, pivot tables and color coding you build next to it stay put. Edits on the FAFJ tab itself are replaced at the next update, so keep your notes in FAFJ or on a tab of your own.
Prefer a file? Pro also exports to Excel and CSV, and Free exports everything as JSON, any time. Stop the live sheet whenever you like; it stays in your Google Drive as it is.

Is there a Google Sheets job tracker template to download?
No. FAFJ is the template, filled in for you. Sign up free, and on Pro export your applications to a Google Sheet that stays up to date.
Does the Google Sheet update by itself?
Yes, on Pro: FAFJ updates its tab when your applications change, every 30 minutes. Your other tabs are never touched.
Can I bring in the applications I already sent?
On Pro, Recheck past email reads up to 6 months of confirmations and rejections from Gmail or Outlook and fills in the applications you already sent. On any plan you can add a job by pasting its link.
Is FAFJ free?
Yes. Free tracks unlimited applications with no card and exports them as JSON. Pro adds email sync, AI Match and exports to Excel, CSV and Google Sheets.
